Canaco has assembled a strong management team with a proven track record of success, supported by a collective network of individuals capable of generating new opportunities for the Company. The team is led by Mr. Andrew Lee Smith, who has over 20 years of experience in successfully exploring, developing and operating North American base and precious metal mining and gemstone projects.
Canaco's Board of Directors also includes: Mr. David Parsons, the Director of Corporate Services and Financial Analysis for Goldcorp, Mr. Randy Smallwood, the former Director of Project Development for Goldcorp and current Executive Vice President, Corporate Development for Silver Wheaton Corp and Mr. Brian Lock former Executive V.P. of Frontier Pacific Mining Corp.
With the addition of Dr. Jingbin Wang as Director of Canaco, currently President of Sinotex Mineral Exploration Co., Ltd. and Mr. Shuixing Fu as Director and Senior Geologist, also with SinoTech (Hong Kong) Corporation Limited and Sinotex Mineral Exploration Co., Ltd. is Vice General Manager. The Board is well represented in both China and Canada.
The Advisory Board consists of; Mr. David W. Moore, M.Sc., P. Geo. Advisory Board Chairman (formally G.M. Global Exploration with Teck Cominco), Ms. Joanne Freeze, B.Sc., P. Geo. (President and CEO of Candente Resources), Dr. Alan Carter, B.Sc., PhD. (formally Manager of Business Development with BHP Billiton), and Dr. David Groves, Ph.D., former Director of University Western Australia's Centre for Global Metallogeny and currently Emeritus Professor attached to the Centre for Exploration Targeting.
Collectively, the technical group surrounding Canaco represents more than 250 years of experience in the mining business split almost equally between major and junior companies and exploration and mine development.
